  • MSUSY is the default output scale for DRbar parameters, even in the SLHA1 option after a user request.

  • Fixed chargino correction to stau mass. Makes a negligible difference to m_stau_i at CMSSM10.1.1. Thanks to K Ishikawa for flagging the issue.
  • Fixed stop/sbottom corrections to gluino mass. They were too small previously. Makes a difference of 0.1% to mgluino at CMSSM10.1.1. Thanks to K Ishikawa for flagging the issue.
  • Fixed photon contribution to chargino mass. Makes a tiny difference, but can change the LSP back to neutralino for some regions of parameter space. Thanks to M Catalan, A Casas and R Ruiz de Austri.
  • If tree-level A0 is tachyonic at MZ and the pole-mass is OK, both flavoured and unflavoured versions will cope OK now - bug fixed in flavoured version, thanks to M Iskrzynski
  • Added methods in MssmSoftsusy to calculate the DRbar tree-level chargino and neutralino masses. Also, tachyons are now given a ZERO mass, rather than the absolute value. It is hoped that this will improve convergence near the EWSB boundary.

  • RPV mode now works on Macs. In 3.3.0, the RPV mode returned a no rho convergence error. Thanks to Matthew McCullough for flagging the bug.
  • Added SLHA1 option to RPV output: in Block SOFTSUSY, set variable 10 equal to 1 to get SLHA1 style output.
  • Error flagging changed a little.

  • Made RPV output more SLHA2 compliant - thanks to Peter Skands for flagging the issue. This has also fixed the problem (at least in 3.1.7) that RPV Yukawa couplings were actually output on the first SLHA call at MZ, and on subsequent calls at MSUSY (but labelled incorrectly at MSUSY).
  • Streamlined object structure - display functions now return a reference
  • Negative scalar masses in SLHA input now give negative scalar mass squared at the input scale. Thanks to Patrick Meade for the suggestion.
  • Bug in the SLHA2 flavour mixing output: sometimes, TDIN input parameters and TEIN inputs would not be listed. This has now been fixed. Thanks to Pietro Slavich for flagging the issue.
  • Bug in the SLHA2 RPV neutrino output: information about the type of neutrino mass hierarchy was sometimes not output - it is now...
  • Compartmentalised SLHA2 output
  • Neutral scalar mixing for CPE/CPO neutral scalars have been added to RpvNeutrino object. Indeed, RpvNeutrino object SUPERCEDES the RpvSoftsusy object for the case of lepton-number violation.
  • Changes to rpvneutmain.cpp: including CKM mixing explicitly now (users may need it)

  • Bug fix in one and two loop stau corrections to the Higgs mass. Normally the effect is negligible, but for extremely high scalar masses around 50 TeV, this can make an O(100%) difference to mh0. Thanks to Ran Lu for flagging the issue and providing a fix.

  • Changed flavoured version so that the 3rd family entries of the 6x6 mass squared sfermion matrices are evaluated at the *lightest* mass of the third family sfermion of the same flavour. This should lead to a better approximation. Thanks to M Muellheitner and P Slavich for flagging the issue.
  • Changed flavourful SLHA2 input options: non-universal input alongside flavoured input should now work. Thanks to J Kersten for bringing the issue to my attention.

Release 3.1.7 15/11/10

• Gzipped tarred [source 3.1.7 | RPC manual | RPV manual | documentation]: Fixed a few errors in setting off-diagonal flavour mixings at the GUT-scale. Trilinears were wrongly transposed and scalar masses' mixings set to zero at the GUT scale. Only could affect those who used FlavourMssmSoftsusy, or the flavoured SLHA2 with non-zero mixing at the GUT scale in the super-CKM basis. Thanks to Carlos Tamarit.
• 30/09/10 [source 3.1.6] Small bug-fix in MA when mA(MSUSY) and mu(MSUSY) are fixed at electroweak scale: thanks to P Slavich. Makes 10^-3 fractional difference at high tan beta. Doesn't print any spectrum in SLHA file if there are serious problems with the parameter point. Gives more info in comments of SLHA file for non-convergence.
• 02/08/10 [source 3.1.5] Fixed one-loop tadpoles for RPV calculation - they are now set non-zero and down/lepton Yukawa calculation - RPV contribution was wrong. Thanks to S Kom and M Hanussek. Made SLHA output better for RPV case: zeroes not all output now. Changed sign of mixing terms in gluino mass on advice of K Matchev.
• 14/05/10 [source 3.1.4] Small bug in loop corrections fixed: mA0 and mH0 were sometimes switched. Results in O(10^-4) fractional differences in masses at SPS points. Thanks to Steve Kom.
• 28/04/10 [3.1.3] Bug in alternative electroweak symmetry breaking boundary conditions: two-loop pieces of tadpoles not implemented correctly, results in an inaccurate MA (especially at large tan beta).
• 03/03/10 [3.1.2] Bug in neutralino mass loop corrections fixed involving neutralino-Z couplings. It makes less than (0.1, 1, 10, 10) per mille fractional error to neutralino masses (1, 2, 3, 4), respectively. Thanks to Steve Kom. Updated constants to PDG 2009 values.
• 20/01/10 [3.1.1]: Compilation issue on some OS fixed.
• 19/10/09 [3.1]: Changes to linear algebra classes by D Grellscheid mean that SOFTSUSY is some 2 times faster. Optimisation level now at 2 by default, leading to a further speed increase of a factor of 2. However, removing optimisation will lead to speed degradation. Change to mhiggs vector in the physPars object: it's now split into mh0, mA0, mH0, mHpm (should result in less bugs).
